CPCS Training Courses
The Construction Plant Competence Scheme or CPCS training scheme is designed to certify that, plant operators have the skills and abilities required for the job. The program includes a mix of professional competence, on-site experience, and health and safety awareness—the three key areas necessary for safe and effective plant operation. CPCS training courses give students the skills and knowledge they need to operate plant machinery safely and effectively. Participants who successfully complete CPCS technical tests are given the CPCS Red Trained Operator card. The Red Card is valid for two years; during that time, you will need to obtain an NVQ qualification in the field of your choice. After you have received your NVQ qualification, you can apply for the CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card, which lets you operate unsupervised.
